Ruth Nduta Ng’ang’a

Meet Ruth Nduta Ng’ang’a. The student working in Turkey. To top it up, she was awarded the best student in Hospitality department in the recently concluded Gilgil graduation💃🏻.

Her journey in Turkey;. She went there without a job. She first worked as a beautician but that wasn’t where her heart was. A job opening of a Chef was advertised. She applied since the restaurant required a chef who knows how to make chapati. She was interviewed and boom! She secured the job.

“I chose Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies College because my friend who does international cuisine recommended the Hospitality Management program to me. I took a catering class , and I found it fun to have a bunch of people gathered together at a table and eating good food. I want people to appreciate food as an element of life, to enjoy, rather than something you have to do.

I learned the front-of-the-house side of things at RVIBS , and how it’s all tied together. For example, if the food is late because of the servers, that’s not good. This helped me become a better event planner.

I pursued Hospitality Management because I believe food has a special power. It connects people, and it’s a celebration of life.”

Let RVIBS bridge you to the best!
